Joint Health & Safety Committee Fundamentals
Made up of employer and worker representatives, the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) plays an important role in helping ensure the safety of workers on the employers worksites. As per WorkSafeBC's regulations, employer and worker representatives sitting on the JHSC must receive 8 hours of training and instruction covering the following topics:

The rules of procedure of the joint committee

The requirements around conducting incident investigations

The requirements around conducting regular workplace inspections, and how to make regular inspections

The requirements around responding to a refusal of unsafe work

The requirements for annually evaluating the joint committee
One Eleven's JHSC Fundamentals Workshop delivers WorkSafeBC's curriculum with a focus on motion picture worksites to make the content relevant to the unique nature of entertainment production.
